The proverbial “reform” pledge needs to be eliminated
As the Tribune’s Editorial Board reported, the Cook County Democratic Party’s pledge, a solemn oath that was presented to candidates to sign before the party’s official nominating process, is “anachronistic.” However, there is another pledge that impacts all Cook County residents that needs to be eliminated at once.
